Casey Bradley (they/she) is a queer Australian-born actor, director and writer based in Brooklyn, New York with an international career.

Casey is a part of the LAByrinth Theater’s Intensive Ensemble (‘25), a Member of the Directors Unit (DU) and the Playwright/Director Workshop (PDW) and a seven-time renewed Acting Finalist at The Actors Studio. Casey is an alumni of the Actors Studio Drama School (MFA Acting), the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (Gold Certificate: Shakespeare), and the University of Melbourne (BA Arts - Theatre Studies and Creative Writing). Casey is a member of Actors Equity (AEA and MEAA) and is a US Green Card holder.

Casey is passionate about great writing, both classical and contemporary, and working with embodied actors with truth at the centre of their work. Casey is committed to telling stories that reflect the world we live in with a particular interest in the representation of queer, female, diverse, and international (Australian!) stories, that are not centred on trauma.

Casey’s training is in both classical technique, with a strong focus on Shakespeare and Early Modern plays, and contemporary technique per Lee Strasberg, Konstantin Stanislavski, Yevgeny Vakhtangov, and Kristin Linklater.

In addition to her work as an actor, director, and writer, Casey has worked in the Arts for 20+ years in a wide variety of positions including producer (Prospect NY), artistic director (MU Shakespeare in Australia), Development for Broadway (The Roundabout Theatre) and Off-Broadway theatres (The Barrow Group), and as a theatre professor (Theatre & Speech Department at City College). Casey has produced several independent short films, commercials and music videos in New York with Prospect NY. In 2011, Casey was named an inaugural Youth Ambassador by the state theatre company, Melbourne Theatre Company (MTC).

In her spare time, Casey enjoys doing CrossFit, playing guitar, spending time with friends and family, camping and hiking, biking to parks to read, trying restaurants across the city, organising her elaborate Google Calendar, reading five different books at the same time, and taking care of several houseplants. Casey is a loyal and caring sister, friend, partner, and colleague.

“Case exudes empathy, making her not only a deeply emotionally in touch artist, but also a kind, warm presence in the rehearsal room. She is a fantastic ensemble member - a true team player who knows when and how to support her cast mates as well as when to step up and be a creative leader. She brings her whole self to the work and has a multitude of talents at her ready… she embodies the word “multi-disciplinary” gliding between acting, directing, writing, and producing with ease. Her unique presence both on and offstage would be an asset to any creative space.”
