Monster Mafia is a twin stick shooter created in Unreal Development Kit by a team of 13 over the course of five months.  The game is set to a classic movie monster theme, having players fight iconic monsters such as the Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Invisible Man, and the Wolfman.

I was Lead Level Designer on this Project.  My responsibilities included the design and creation of the game’s tutorial level, creation of particle effects, managing the four level designers under me, overseeing the five levels being created, and leading weekly playtesting of the levels. 

Tiamat was a Final Boss Fight created in Unreal Development Kit by a team of ten. The player fought a dragon while on a boat in stormy seas.  Players man turrets to shoot the dragon’s fireballs out of the sky and to destroy the dragon’s scale.  These turrets are on rails, allowing the player to move from side to side to dodge fireballs.  Once the dragon’s scales are removed players man a harpoon gun to finish the dragon off.

I was Lead Level Designer on this project.  My responsibilities included designing the level, managing the five level designers under me in the creation of the level, creating particle effects, creating ocean waves, implementing Kismet events, and implementing post processing effects

Ninja Go!! is a game built in TorqueX by a team of five over the course of two months.  In this platformer players control Ninja X as he attempts to save his sister from the evil Kumicho.  The game requires players to use wall jump, wall slide, and dash abilities to navigate platforming puzzles while avoiding guards patrolling the levels. To kill the guards players must execute a dash attack from behind them.

I was Lead Environmental Level Designer for this project.  I was responsible for the creation of numerous in-game assets, sound implementation, and design and construction of the game’s sewer level.
